My darling gave me my Valentines Day gift. Something I have been meaning to get myself for the longest time. I no longer have to paint with the canvass balanced on the radiator! Hurrah!

Tomorrow we’re off into town so hopefully we can go ahead and pop into Vibes & Scribes. I can pick up another canvass for the next painting and I can get myself a better palette than a lump of wood. It’s a bit unwieldy to hold while painting…

I also need to pick up more paints to complete Killough Felix. Limousin cattle really do call for a lot of orange, reds, browns and whites…

Nothing much has been happening craft wise since my last post. It has been a pretty pathetic week and a bit with illness and my new found obsession (again) with Skyrim.

I have one painting that does have a deadline so that will need to be finished fairly soon. I shall keep you updated.

I really need to get a large embroidery frame for some of the work. The circular frames get a bit unwieldy the bigger they get.

It’s a crafty monthly box of amazingness. Every month Whimseybox will send you a box full of crafty things to try. You can pay monthly, or you can set up a 3, 6, or 12 month subscription. They’d be good for stoking your own creative fires or as a gift for any crafty friends and family members! Not forgetting that in your monthly stash you might get supplies you wouldn’t even think to buy yourself; adding to the variety of things you have to use.

Ignoring the contents for a moment the box that the craftyness comes in is exquisit as well. I feel that it wouldn’t be too long before I’d have them piled high filled with random bits and bobs.

What I have in my todo tray are:

Patchwork bag – I bought some samples from Vibes & Scribes and once I have them cut and sorted I’ll be making them into a really simple small patchwork bag. My aim is to build up to making quilts and throws. We shall see how my old Singer Samba 6 copes with the idea of a quilt in the future.

Painting – I’ve got two paintings on the go and I’ll be aiming to get at least one of them done. One is almost complete just further touching up is needed. Again all these projects will make their way into that set on Flickr.

Knitting/Needlework – I have a fair number of these that are complete and I’ll be uploading those before too long as well.

The biggest item in the Todo tray is the craft room itself. Currently it’s just a room full of bits and pieces but hopefully we’ll have a desk in there and some decent amounts of storage in the coming months. Not just my bits, but there’s a good amount of Lego that will need a home soon.

I am creative, but I am also very good at being lazy.
